The Medworxx Policy and Document Management system (PDMS) provides our staff with easy access to all of our current policies in one location. Eliminating the need for paper distribution, new and updated policies are available for immediate use. Not only do we now have a standardized and automated review/revision and approval process, but also a notification function that alerts us when policies are due for review.

The versatility of the program has enabled us to create a separate system for our Physician Orders sets. The enhanced search functions allow us to locate documents quickly using keywords or specific categories including departments, physicians and specialties.

The Medworxx technical support team has been a consistent, available resource in the development and maintenance of our systems. Their continual enhancements of both of our systems are designed to best meet the needs of our organization.

At NorDx, we currently use the Policy & Document Management System (PDMS), implemented in the Fall of 2008. The software has provided several key improvements and helped us achieve our goals in managing policy and procedure documents, such as:

  • Specified accountabilities and time frames, and system-generated reminders help us stay on track with document reviews and revisions
  • The software supports regulator's requirements and internal standards for consistent version and workflow processing and tracking

Support from the Medworxx staff who provide training, product management, technical support and customer support has been outstanding! All staff members are very responsive; they are always soliciting suggestions for improvements to the software, and continue to build enhancements based on how the customer uses the system. A significant benefit for us has been our continued relationship with Medworxx staff.

The LMS worked so well in getting out the information to all staff about the new Accessibility for Ontarians legislation. The Medworxx Policy and Document Management System (PDMS) has been a wonderful product choice. We are a multi-facility implementation so everyone had their work cut out for them. The managers of the content using the back end of the product at all facilties have been enthusiastic and pleased. Our policy viewers have been delighted with the ease of use and reliablity in finding needed policies from a browser interface.

In my mind, service during implementation and after go-live is as vital as the product itself. We have been in production for over a year now and couldn't be more pleased. I am impressed. Medworxx is on the leading edge of the technology curve. They are definitely set up for the future. The flexibility in the system is powerful. Because e-learning (Medworxx Learning Management System) is so easy to do and manage, we’ve had an 85 percent compliance with mandatory training rate since we switched from our paper-based system.
